Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Tunestride ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use the Tunestride mobile app (package ai.runform.app) and tunestride.com. We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and other applicable laws.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: email address and a user ID when you create an account.
• Running videos: short videos you record or upload for analysis.
• Analysis results: form score, cadence, foot strike and other metrics derived from your videos, and your history of results.
• Purchase information: subscription status and transaction identifiers. Payments are handled by Google Play; we never receive your full card details.
• Usage and device data: app events, crash reports, device model, OS version and, if you allow it, advertising identifiers used to measure our marketing.
• Waitlist information: email and anything optional you provide (first name, city, club), plus campaign info (UTM tags, click IDs, referring page).

2. How we use it

• To analyse your running form and show you results and suggestions.
• To provide, maintain and improve the app.
• To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
• To contact you about your account or, if you joined the waitlist, about our launch.
• To measure which marketing works, in aggregate.
• To keep the service secure and comply with law.

3. Video processing

Your videos are processed solely to produce your running-form analysis. We do not sell your videos and do not use them for advertising. Videos and results are stored so you can view your history, and are deleted when you delete them or your account.

4. Service providers

We use trusted processors who act on our instructions:

• Supabase — authentication, database and file storage for your account, videos and results.
• RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management.
• Google Play — app distribution and payments.
• Analytics and advertising partners (such as Google or Meta) — to understand app usage and measure ad performance, where enabled.

Some providers store data outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers bound by data-protection terms offering adequate protection, as POPIA requires.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers above, when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete your personal data, videos and results within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records (e.g. transaction records) by law.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, and withdraw consent for marketing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za. To delete your account, see Delete account.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Children

Tunestride is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date.
